Jan 11, 2018 This research presents new data on gold mineralization in Bubin and surrounding areas in Astor valley (Fig. 1). Petrographic and geochemical work was conducted on sulfide-bearing altered bulk samples and mineralized samples for finding source rock for gold and base metals and for understanding genesis of mineralization.Gold mineralization in the Beard -Geraldton area occurs in a major, long-lived deformation zone, spatially coincident with the boundary between the Wabigoon subprovince to the north and the Quetico subprovince to the south. -- Regionally, the deposits are linearly distributed (east-west) parallel to the strata of the southern margin of the Wabigoon belt.The~1.5 Moz Yaour gold deposit, which is located within the Birimian greenstone belts of central C te d'Ivoire (West Africa), is associated with two stages of economic gold mineralization.
